I became interested in floristry when I was fifteen and in the Girls Brigade, we did a badge on flower arranging. I did quite well and enjoyed doing it, thinking that my attempt at a pedestal arrangement was fantastic, looking back I now wonder what on earth I was thinking! Two weeks work experience in a shop didn't deter me, and went on to the Youth Training scheme, working in a shop and learning at college, to become a qualified florist.
I moved to Bletchley, and got to work in several top florist shops, and gained my retail experience in several big stores.
In 2011 I wanted to learn something different, so signed up for a strained glass course at an adults learning center, (never to old to learn) and found a new passion in life, falling in love with the design work, different glass types, and different styles of glass work, four courses later I had acquired enough glass to open a shop!
In June 2018, I left my job to start up my own business , bringing both my passions of glass and flowers together.
I love a challenge, and when it comes to designing a piece of glass or a flower arrangement, colour plays a big part in it, especially if i can create something different and special.
